The FCM Extension allows admins to schedule start and end dates for notifications. This article walks through how to use this feature.
- Sign in to the Admin Dashboard and go to the Notifications tab.
- Open the editor for the notification you want to edit. You can do this by creating a new notification, editing an existing notification, or copying an existing notification.
- The modal type must be Custom to use this feature. Shep currently does not support scheduling for dynamic notifications (notifications that come from Sitata or WorldAware, for example).
- The Start and End date fields are towards the bottom of the editor.
- Start date
- If you schedule to start on a specific date, it will start at 00:00 on that date.
- For example, I create a notification to start on March 1. It will start displaying to users on March 1 at 00:00.
- End date
- If you schedule to end on a specific date, it will end at 11:59 the day before.
- For example, I create a notification to end on March 10. It will stop displaying to users on March 9 at 11:59 pm.
- Times are based on user times.
- You can use both Start and End dates together to schedule notifications for specific date ranges.
